A latest study has suggested that the increase in the school leaving period to 15 over 50 years back could go in the direction of dropping the rates of developing dementia in the old people.
It was shown in a previous research that education is valuable as it raises the number of neural connections located in the brain. Poor cognitive role is recognized to be associated with the development of dementia, moreover, it is known already that dementia had a less likeliness to be developed in the people who been stayed in touch with education for a long period of time.

One of the researchers expressed amendments in the school leaving age as these were in the study should also show progress in cognitive abilities hence minimize dementia rates in the future.
Dementia occurs when people turn down cognitively to the end where it gets in the way of their ability to do basic things such as cooking.
Although dementia happens in later age, the alterations which lead towards it have a tendency to start at very early stages. The researchers are considering these findings very significant in order to predict what is going to be happened in the future.

Doctors suspect that there are two possible reasons which are forcing them to take such step, one is the diminishing desire of children because of the expanses, second could possibly that people want to undergo such surgeries before the end of their jobs and health insurance.
Dr. Goldstein narrated that he used to perform one or rarely two procedures of vasectomy but now he is doing the three on each Friday which is a really significant increase.

People are also showing the concern about the loss of their health insurance and before the end of the policy they want to take the advantage.

Vitamins and minerals are required for the body as essential energy elements. They are important to keep the body healthy and providing it with balanced health status. A healthy person requires them as well as an ill person. People with a disease have more body requirements for the intake of vitamins and minerals than a normal healthy person.

They are not an essential element for keeping the body healthy or in an unhealthy condition, but they do hold significance for the growth of children, as well as for the athletes to provide extra energy boost. We cannot underestimate the functions of minerals and vitamins as they play an important role in almost all of them directly or indirectly.
The efficient role of vitamins and minerals has recently been known with historical references from 400 B.C., the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates. He was the first to advocate the use of liver to cure night blindness, now known occurring due to the deficiency of vitamin A.
Finding a vitamin or a mineral is not a ‘mission impossible’, as they are found in foods; vegetables, fruits and dairy products. Else they are taken through dietary supplements and medicinal formations i.e. pills and tablets. Some foods are also known as vitamin enriched, meaning thereby that they are prepared in a vitamin rich way; they become an effective source of vitamin derivative.
Vitamins are organic compounds whereas minerals are embodiments of chemical compositions. Both of these are required as nutrients in small amounts by organisms. Vitamins hold various biochemical functions such as Vitamin D is a hormone motivator, Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, and vitamins like Vitamin A act as mediators of cell signals and regulations of tissue growth.
Vitamin B is found in the largest numbers and is efficient predecessor for cofactor bio-molecules that are coenzymes. These coenzymes are quite helpful in acting as catalysts and substrates in metabolism. Vitamins also act as carriers for chemical compounds of in between enzymes.
A body which has vitamin deficiency can house a number of diseases. Likewise minerals deficiency can harm the health too. Minerals are rich source of calcium, sodium, silicon, aluminum, lead, chlorine, magnesium, graphite, and carbon. Almost all of these have medicinal qualities and are used today to produce the best curing medicines.
Despite of their unmatched benefits for health and cure, a lot of people are unaware of the nutrients that can be derived from the intake of vitamins and minerals.
A new study has found HPV or human papillomavirus which could lead towards cervical cancer might also invade the anus. But it can be determined at early stages. The average period of the kinds of HPV was thought to be at high risk around 150 days. Though, it altered from type to type.

The researchers scanned the factors linked to anal HPV infection and its appearance in women. Almost more than half women showed up the symptoms of anal HPV infections during the follow-up. This information may aid to explain the reason of rarity of anal cancer in women as compared to cervical cancer.
Possibility of cervical cancer is screened by testing for cervical HPV. On the other hand, the fact about the short-life of anal infections hoist the likelihood of anal HPV testing to be less efficient tool of cancer screening than cervical HPV testing, the lead researcher added. Moreover, the delayed clear up was associated with long-term smoking, douching and to have anal sex.
Now the target of future research is based on an important question whether anal HPV testing should be used as a tool for cancer screening or not, the researcher concluded.
A new device has been developed by the researchers that indicate about the sunburn by turning to an appropriate shade of pink hence alerts the wearer. The thin film device warns its wearer that they could have a possibility of getting the destructive dosage of ultraviolet rays. It’s easy to carry and can be worn as wrist band.

The phenomenon involved a chemical reaction, triggered by UV rays; the reaction which takes place in the indicator releases an acid into a dye and turns the color. There are many other devices which are already present in the market but the new device has the unique quality of giving the prompt signal when damage is about to done by sun exposure.
The researcher who invented the device has made a model of the film; he combined a dye which turns its color step by step from yellow to blue, and a middle strip of dye that changes its color to pink. This point gives you the warning to leave the sunny place because after that your skin will be burnt.
It could be a great invention which will tend people to take care of their skin, but there is a need of further research to ensure its effectiveness in the actual life circumstances.
A new study has found that the people, who take less sleep, are at a higher risk to develop a state which leads towards type 2 diabetes. The reason of this condition is, when body, in spite of producing too much insulin could not break down sugar in the blood due to the inefficiency of the hormone.

The researchers observed that the people who take slept fewer than six hours a night throughout the week had greater tendency to generate damaged fasting glucose than those who took sleep for more than six hours. The results support the emerging evidence of the connection between insufficient sleep and bad health issues.
One of the researchers linked the finding with hormones and nervous system. Though sleep specialists are of the view that lack of sufficient sleep may bring about adverse health conditions like diabetes, they are unable to justify the exact reasons behind this problem. There is possibility that lack of sleep increased the risk of obesity which leads towards diabetes.
To take a good sleep at night is the biological requirement of the body. In order to perform working of the whole day, a good night’s sleep is the necessity of human body at every night.
He added, however the latest research complimented the former ones which were of the view that there might be an association between sleeping patterns and the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. He hoped the new research would provoke further studies in this complicated field of sleeping and health issues.
A new research has shown as adults get older they consider themselves as wise to do anything to any extent is their right. Particularly, when it comes to the matter of drinking, they really don’t know to say no to any more drink. The study was conducted to observe this drinking behavior of older adults.

The participants of the research were given alcoholic beverages. After sometime when the whole group is tested, it was found that the older ones showed the same behavior as the youngsters did. Moreover, when they were asked about any impairment, they did not consider themselves affected as observers viewed. That is why they have become accustomed to the social drinking over the years.
Although the overall performance of both the groups was almost same, a former study suggests that older adults are more responsive to tranquilizing effects. Because, the metabolic system of older people take longer time to metabolize liquors. Its effects also take longer span to be cleared away from the system. This may result in alteration of the brain chemistry. So it is suggested, be smart in monitoring your drinking levels, it doesn’t mean that you have become old but demonstrate your wiser drinking attitude.
